Letter To My High School Self

Senior year is a time to reflect, cherish the moments, and say goodbyes. To realize the impact the last four years have made on your life. To recognize the people who have influenced you. To be confident in the things you have learned. But it’s also a time to look ahead, hope for the future, and be fearless. To embrace the ocean of possibilities that lies ahead. To brave the unknown. To take every opportunity that comes your way.

Your next step is coming to Mercer. A place for you to grow, thrive, and discover your potential. To step out of your comfort zone. To meet new people. To challenge yourself to be the best that you can be. Your next four years will be life-changing.

Take advice from three Mercer seniors as they write letters to their high school self and offer words of wisdom about the transition from high school to college.

  1. I am so very excited for Alexa’s new journy at Mercer Unv.! She shares the same hopes, dreams and yes stresses that are expressed here. We knew the moment we toured your campus that this was the place for her. So exciting to hear these letters from students who have walked this same path, and how they have blossomed at Mercer. I look forward to hearing my daughter 3-4 years from now write a simular letter to her HS self. God bless you and thank you for making Mercer great!!
