3 Things to Do During Your Junior Year

As you get closer to your senior year, there’s a lot to be excited about and also a lot to prepare for. Here are three tips about how to get a head start on your college search!

1. Do Your Research.

You should consider everything a college has to offer before making a final decision. You can learn a lot about a school from their website. Here are some things to consider during your college search process:

  • How far is it away from home?
  • Does it offer my intended major?
  • Can I see myself succeeding at that specific college or university?

2. Decide what you’re interested in.

You don’t have to know what your major will be or what your future career path looks like, but it is important to identify your interests. What majors and careers do you find interesting? What are your favorite classes right now? What do you see yourself doing in the future?

3. Visit!

Visiting schools can help you make a final decision. Taking in the environment and imagining yourself on campus helps you determine if the school feels like home away from home.

As your senior year gets closer, your list of colleges and universities you are interested in will become smaller and smaller.
